STEM OPT Extension
STEM OPT extension permits certain F-1 students with degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to apply for a 24-month extension of their post-completion OPT.
Here is a list of Department of Homeland Security . Following are STEM eligible majors at ÖØ¿ÚζSM that are also approved for issuance of an I-20.
Undergraduate majors
- BS in Nutrition and Dietetics
- BS in Environmental Science
- BS in Computer Information Systems
- BS in Computer Science
- BS in Biology
- BS in Neuroscience
- BA and BS in Biology/Chemistry
- BS in Math and Computer Science
- BS in Natural Sciences
- BS in Data Science
- BS in Chemistry
- BS in Informatics
Graduate
At this time, there are no graduate degree programs eligible for STEM OPT extension.
