Once you’re registered for classes, there are a few more important next steps to take:
 

Textbooks can be purchased or rented at the Stepan Bookstore on the first floor of Power Hall.

  • Note: please contact your course instructor to see what, if any, textbooks are required for your course.
  • Make sure to have your course number and section available when purchasing textbooks.
  • You can contact the bookstore at dom@bkstr.com or (708) 524-6893. More information is also available on the .

All students are required to comply with the University policy for Immunizations. Prior to the first day of class all students must log in to the Wellness Center Online and upload documentation of the required immunizations. The Wellness Center portal is synced with the Illinois registry so some of your immunizations may already be uploaded. If it reads “Compliant Verified” you are compliant and nothing more needs to be done. Required Immunizations include 2 MMRs, TDAP within the last 10 years, and Meningitis (if under 22 years of age). You will also need to complete the required TB screening form. Failure to comply with the immunization policy may result in a fine.

There are a limited number of part-time jobs, several graduate assistant positions available and other positions university-wide. . If you have any questions or concerns, contact the appropriate staff or faculty member or gradinfo@dom.edu

Information regarding orientation for future terms will be posted here. Please check back for updates if your program is not listed below. Students can expect an email directly from graduate enrollment with information on this event and how to register.

Orientation sessions will be held via Zoom. A link will be sent to you via email prior to the session. Please contact Graduate Enrollment at gradinfo@dom.edu with questions.

ؿζSM partners with Rydin Decal for parking permit applications, payment, permit distribution, parking enforcement, multi-plate data collection and citation appeals.

2024-2025 Parking Permits will be available for purchase Monday, August 19, 2024! Please follow the steps below to purchase your permit. If you have any questions please contact parking@dom.edu for assistance.

Step One: using your ؿζSM credentials.

Step Two: Click on “Buy Permits” on the top banner and follow the prompts. Note permit options are based on your current status and affiliation (Faculty/Staff, Commuter, and Resident) This status has been predetermined and only permits applying to your specific category will be available for purchase. If you believe this to be an error, please contact parking@dom.edu

  • Commuter and Faculty/Staff permits will be delivered to the home address provided during the application.  
  • Resident Permits will be available for pick up at Campus Safety dispatch Monday August 26, 2024.

Step Three: Register your vehicles and contact information. All fields in red are required. (You may skip this step if there have been no changes to either)

Step Four: Print your temporary permit. You will receive a confirmation email from Rydin about your purchase, and you will also get an email with a link to a temporary parking permit. This permit should be displayed on the left hand (drivers) side of your dashboard until you receive your hang tag.

Star Cards (Student ID Cards)

  • in order to obtain your Student ID card. There is no charge for the ID card.
  • Next, visit Information Technology in Lewis Hall #047. During the visit, you’ll have a picture taken. You will need to bring another form of ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, to verify your identity.
  • If you need assistance with the Star Card application, please email supportcenter@dom.edu.

ؿζSM requires that all new students complete online training on sexual assault prevention. This interactive online tool will help ؿζSM students further their understanding of critical topics like sexual assault and bystander intervention that will benefit both the campus environment and the community. Invitations will be sent to your ؿζSM email account via an automated message from Get Inclusive with the subject line "Online Course Assigned to you by ؿζSM" around the start of the semester.
