The Caesar and Patricia Tabet Poetry Reading

Join us at ÖØ¿ÚζSM for the annual Caesar and Patricia Tabet Poetry Reading featuring acclaimed poet, José Olivarez. The son of Mexican immigrants, Olivarez is the author of two celebrated poetry collections, including his latest, "Promises of Gold," longlisted for the 2023 National Book Awards.
His debut, "Citizen Illegal," was a finalist for the PEN/Jean Stein Book Award and won the 2018 Chicago Review of Books Poetry Prize. He co-edited the influential anthology "The BreakBeat Poets Vol. 4: LatiNEXT" and recently published "Por Siempre." Recognized as a Debut Poet of 2018 by Poets & Writers and a recipient of the Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship, Olivarez's work has been featured in The New York Times and The Paris Review.
